Glee star Chris Colfer refuses to read about himself online because he is convinced catty internet comments are comparable to "bullying".

The gay actor, who has previously admitted he was targeted by his schoolmates when he was a youngster, has found himself attracting criticism from internet users since landing the role of fashionista Kurt Hummel on the hit U.S. TV show.

So Colfer avoids searching for himself on the web to avoid the nasty remarks.

He tells Piers Morgan Tonight, "It was just high school again. It was high school all over again, people making fun of my voice, people making fun of the way I looked. I mean, it was just bullying in another form.

"It's ridiculous when people have strong opinions about you when it's about things you can't control. Like, an example, my voice. I cannot control how high-pitched I get when I get excited. I wish I could control it. There are so many situations when I wish I wasn't squealing, but... it's something I do."

Rare photographs of legendary Hollywood beauties Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Mansfield have been discovered after gathering dust at a snapper's studio for more than 30 years.

Photographer Anton Fury paid just $2 (?1.24) for an envelope of negatives of "some chick in a bikini" at a garage sale near his home in New Jersey in 1980 and was shocked when he later examined them on a light-box and realised the woman was Monroe.

But he was so busy with work and setting up home with his new wife, he promptly forgot about his amazing haul - and only realised he had the potential goldmine earlier this year while carrying out an inventory of photos and negatives at his studio.

The package contains 30 pictures of Monroe relaxing by a swimming pool, and a further 70 images of Mansfield.

Fury tells the New York Post, "I thought it was just some chick in a bikini... (Later) I was like 'Oh, my God, look what I found!'"

The snapper is planning to confirm he has legal ownership of the photos before putting them up for sale at auction.

In Pakistan, Doubts Bin Laden Is Dead

We're on a crowded shopping street in Lahore, Pakistan, alongside the shrine to Data Ganj Baksh, one of the holiest places in the country. The shrine of a Muslim saint, it's a giant rectangle surrounded on all sides by giant white stone arches. This location was bombed last year. So we thought Thursday night, a very busy night at the shrine, would be a good night to ask people about what's happening in Pakistan.

In recent days, there has been bombing after bombing across the country, even an attack on a naval base ? all apparently in retaliation for the killing of Osama bin Laden.

Zafar Iqbal says he's heard of the latest attacks. He says they're wrecking the economy and the country's defense system.

"Only God can save us," he says in Urdu, "our government can't."

Iqbal, a teacher at a religious school, says he doesn't often talk about current events in class "because the bad news is too stressful for the students."

"I try to focus on good news," he says.

But when asked what positive things he talks about, he laughs, saying: "I don't discuss because we don't have many positive thing."

And there is one piece of news that he really doesn't believe: It's "doubtful," he says, that al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden was really killed by U.S. Navy Seals this month.

Nor is Iqbal the only person here who doubts it.

"I don't believe he could be killed by those dogs," Malik Shabir says in Urdu, referring to Americans.

A recent Gallup poll of Pakistanis found that 49 percent do not believe bin Laden was killed in the way the U.S. says. This country embraces conspiracy theories ? though in all fairness, that could make sense in a country where so many killings go unresolved, and many conspiracy theories turn out to be true.

Lahore is the city where an American named Raymond Davis was arrested this year for killing two Pakistanis. The U.S. eventually admitted he was a CIA contractor. When I visited the Data Ganj Baksh shrine in Lahore on Thursday night, I had trouble getting in with a tape recorder. I'm obviously American, and the guards kept mentioning Davis, as if they suspected me of being a spy.

All this year's events feed into a political culture that runs on conspiracy theories and skepticism.

"Nothing is of face value," says Faisa Agha. "Nothing is of face value, so I would not believe anything is being told to me."

She's in a coffee shop called Calories with her friend Alina Pasha in another part of the city.

Pasha works in a bank while Agha is studying for a master's degree in business.

"If there was an Osama bin Laden at that location ... at that time ... if he was present over there, there is a proper way to go about it," Agha says.

When asked if her choice of words means she isn't sure the al-Qaida chief was where the U.S. said he was, she replies: "Of course not. If he was there, you guys would've been there a lot sooner."

To be clear, Agha is no Islamist ? nor is she anti-American. In fact, she hopes to study in the U.S. someday.

"I am not somebody who is against America or against any nation. I'm not into this. I'm not at all into this," she says. "What I want is that I can actually, you know, enjoy life, live happily ... not be afraid about getting killed the moment I get out of my house."

When asked if she's suspicious of what the United States is doing in Pakistan, Agha says: "I'm deeply suspicious of what my own government is doing, honestly."

Agha's comments come just before U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's scheduled visit to Pakistan on Friday.

After their meetings, U.S. and Pakistani officials may well spend the coming days making public statements to smooth over their troubled relationship. Whatever they say, we can feel certain many Pakistanis won't believe a word.

Attack Helos in Libya Mean Deadly Days Ahead ? For Everyone

The two-month-old civil war in Libya is about to get a lot deadlier, for both sides.

In a bid to break a weeks-long stalemate in Libya, France and the U.K. have simultaneously made a portentous decision. Both countries are deploying tank-busting attack helicopters from their respective amphibious ships, currently sailing off the Libyan coast.

?What we want is to better tailor our ability to strike on the ground with ways that allow more accurate hits,? said French diplomat Alain Juppe.

There are three British Army WAH-64D Apaches (pictured above) embarked on the assault ship HMS Ocean, with up to three more on the way. The choppers were recently re-certified for shipboard use, as a partial replacement for the Royal Navy?s recently-retired aircraft carrier and Harrier jump jets.

An unspecified number of French army Tiger choppers were reportedly among a dozen choppers aboard the assault ship Tonnerre.

The British and French gunships are equipped with rockets, guns, guided missiles and sophisticated day and night sensors. Both types, plus their American counterparts, have proved to be some of the deadliest weapons of the Afghanistan war. But in the open terrain of North Africa, against an opponent armed with anti-aircraft guns and heat-seeking missiles, the helicopter gunships could prove as vulnerable to ground forces as ground forces are to them.

That?s a lesson the U.S. Army learned the hard way in Iraq in 2003, when Iraqi troops unleashed a barrage of ground fire on an aerial armada of 32 Apache gunships passing over the city of Najaf. One Apache was shot down and its two-man crew captured. Most of the rest of the helicopters were damaged. The Army aborted the mission and quickly changed its helicopter tactics to include flying faster and higher.

Despite the new methods, the U.S. has lost scores of gunships to crashes and enemy fire in Iraq and Afghanistan since 2001.

The French and British choppers could face similar dangers. Though NATO succeeded in destroying many of Qadhafi?s fixed, long-range Surface-to-Air Missile systems in the early hours of the bombing campaign that began on March 20, the Libyan regime?s small, mobile SA-6 and SA-8 missiles have proved more difficult to find and kill. These weapons, plus the countless shoulder-fired missiles in Qadhafi?s arsenal, pose a ?high risk? to NATO aircraft, according to the Pentagon.

?There?s even more risk using helicopters as they are easier to shoot down, and it?s a serious political problem if you have casualties or people captured,? Daniel Keohane of the E.U. Institute for Security Studies told Reuters.

Perhaps even more disconcerting is that NATO didn?t seem to know the French helos were showing up.

?At this stage, we have heard that they have got a ship with helicopters in the Mediterranean,? a NATO spokesman tells the Los Angeles Times. ?They?re not part of us.?

If that lack of coordination continues, it?s almost a surefire recipe for friendly fire.

On the other hand, no warplane is more adept than the attack helicopter at flying low, searching close, finding and killing dug-in ground troops. Gunships, particularly American Apaches, are easily the most called-upon and most devastating weapon on the NATO side of the Afghanistan war. With adequate protection, the right tactics and ? most importantly ? a willingness to accept losses, the British and French choppers could make a big dent in Qadhafi?s remaining forces.

The decision to deploy attack helicopters was a long time in coming, a clear sign NATO appreciates the major escalation that the move represents. As early as April,? analysts were saying helicopters might be necessary to root out Qadhafi?s most determined defenders. The British Apaches began preparing for sea operations in early May. In the meantime, the Royal Navy tried less risky methods of hitting Qadhafi?s troops, including gunfire from the destroyer HMS Liverpool.

As Britain and France up the ante in Libya, the U.S. continues to resist playing a larger role. U.S. Air Force A-10 attack planes and AC-130 gunships already represent the alliance?s most precise ground-attackers, short of helicopters. Plus, ?we continue to provide the majority of intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance assets,? Secretary of State Hillary Clinton pointed out.

But the Pentagon, notably, has not volunteered its own Apache and Cobra attack helicopters for ultra-dangerous Libya duty.

Christina Hendricks confirms in a new interview that, yes, her breasts are real. But she's perplexed that the question even comes up.

"It's so bizarre that people are constantly asking if my breasts are real or fake," the Mad Men beauty, 36, tells the Daily Mail's You magazine. "They're so obviously real that anyone who's ever seen or touched a breast would know."

Informed that more British women are getting breast augmentation lately to look more voluptuous, Hendricks replies that she's an example of the opposite ? of the virtues of staying natural.

"If there's anything to be learned from me it's that I'm learning to celebrate what I was born with, even though it's sometimes been inconvenient," she says. "Having larger breasts has made it harder for me to shop throughout the years, but I've learned to love it."

Hendricks also talk love, marriage and babies. She calls actor Geoffrey Arend, whom she married in 2009, "just the best husband ever" ? and reveals they were friends first, when she suddenly realized she was in love. "I think my brain just had to catch up with my heart," she says.

The couple haven't decided yet whether they'll have children. In any case, Hendricks still has some time to focus on her career.

"I probably need to think about [kids] soon because I'm getting older, but I'm not letting that determine any decisions," she says. "I'm on this wonderful show with all these opportunities, so it seems crazy to jump out of it. I want to really experience the career for a while, and then I'll see what happens."

GOOD SIGNS: Finance Minister Bill English said the high Australian dollar was helping New Zealand manufacturers sell products there.

Canterbury farmers were having a top year and for local manufacturers exporting to Australia "things have never been better", Finance Minister Bill English told a Christchurch business audience.

In the quake-stricken city yesterday for a post-Budget business lunch, the finance minister emphasised the positive elements of Canterbury's situation, saying he had recently visited the region and found "the Canterbury Plains are having the best year they can remember".

The autumn had been "fantastic" and prices were "incredibly consistent".

The strength of the Australian dollar was making New Zealand manufactured products a lot more competitive, he said. The New Zealand dollar is at present worth about A74c and manufacturing forms about 15 per cent of Canterbury region gross domestic product.

"If you are a manufacturer selling to Australia, which is our biggest market, things have never been better," English said.

The country had been enjoying the highest export prices seen in a generation.

Treasury has estimated the damage from the two earthquakes is around $15 billion, about 8 per cent of GDP, and direct costs to the Crown will be $8.8b.

Canterbury Employers' Chamber of Commerce chief executive Peter Townsend reckons the bill to rebuild will be around $30b.

Yesterday English was saying it would cost $15b-$20b to rebuild Christchurch. He said the Government could not find another national disaster in a developed nation where the economic impact was greater relative to the country's GDP.

The estimate of $15b is about 8 per cent of GDP whereas the Japanese earthquake and tsunami are estimated to cost that nation between 3 per cent and 5 per cent of GDP.

English said Budget 2011 was part of the Government's programme, started with Budget 2009, to rebalance the New Zealand economy so that growth in the future came from export earnings and not from excessive consumption and property speculation.

The New Zealand economy was "a carriage of the China-Australia train" both growing economies providing huge opportunities for New Zealand.

He had been in China recently and they had expressed a wish to see New Zealand's $10 billion of exports to China double to $20b in the next five years. The only constraint was our ability to take advantage of that.

Some commentators had said Treasury's growth forecasts were too optimistic but they were in the "middle of the pack" of economists' forecasts, he said. Treasury is forecasting growth of 4 per cent in the year to March 2013, the highest point of growth in the five years to March 2015.

English said New Zealanders were moving into a more confident frame of mind, albeit carefully.

He said Christchurch businesses had been much more resilient than expected.

Last year's Budget focused on the largest tax reforms in 25 years and this Budget was focused on cutting Government debt, moving towards a Government operating surplus and rebuilding Christchurch.

The moves to cut Government spending meant the Government would borrow about $10b less than it would have.Because borrowing conditions had been favourable, the Government had been borrowing on average $380m a week and sometimes $1b a week but next year that would fall to an average of $100m a week for the next three years.

To criticisms that the Government should have done more than just tighten the eligibility of interest-free student loans, English said the move was in line with community consensus.

The Government's aim to keep its debt below 30 per cent of GDP "keeps us largely off the radar". When government debt exceeded 60 per cent of GDP, the country was considered to be in trouble unless the economies were the United States and Britain who were "able to get away with it".

A small country like New Zealand with government debt of 30 per cent to 60 per cent of GDP would find it expensive to borrow overseas.
